We've got to fight because there are a lot of people who will not admit to the racism that exists in this country.

And we all know it's there.

I wish somebody would tell Clarence Thomas that he seemed not to know it.

Well, I said to people before, when I announced re-election and everybody kept focusing on my age, I don't want to run away from my age.

I'm fortunate to have lived through what I've lived through and still be here.

But I said at the time, I think we have to think about this all the time.

We are driving this narrative.

Everybody keeps talking, and I ask the question, what would you rather have, an older Thurgood Marshall or a younger Clarence Thomas?

What do you get out of that?

So this is an issue that's much bigger than these little pigeonholes that people keep putting us in, and I get so upset.

But I see so many of our comrades in this struggle picking up on all the stuff they see on social media.

You know, just like just this morning,

I'm talking with one of my daughters and they're telling me all the stuff that you probably read about or saw some of what was going down at South Carolina State College on yesterday and the day before when the students got outraged because the administration invited the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina to be the commencement speaker.

Now, the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina

made a statement giving coverage to President Trump's depiction of the Obamas as apes.

She has talked about how Trumpy she is, that she is going to end DEI on college campuses.

Those students didn't want her on that campus.

And so they came out against it.

The first thing I see yesterday morning, where is Jim Clyburn?

Well, Jim Clyburn doesn't have a press conference to do what needs to be done.
