shortstop, third baseman of the future.
I think that list is smaller than the list you made.
Like, what is Sam Antinachi's like?
Long-term position is a left field.
I don't think we quite know to the stake where, like, Sam Antonacci is going to be in the left field for 10 years.
Chase Meidroth has certainly, like, played a really good second base.
He's one of the better second basemen in the league right now.
But so many of these guys going into this year, it was like, well, we don't really know what his role is on, like, when we're best.
You know, we think he's part of this.
We think he's important to the mix.
Like, Miguel Vargas would probably have been in that mix, too.
But, you know, being the best third baseman in the AL for a prolonged stretch maybe changes that calculus a bit.
right now, like ideally, you know, especially when they're healthy and when you have like Murakami back and you're wondering like, how do we get Jacob Gonzalez involved?
Ideally they get to a point where there's more bats and spots in some degree.
And that allows you some depth to play with, uh, whether it's on the major league roster or some of their upper level prospects who might be, uh, blocked, like, you know, we, he's been hurt.
So we haven't had to figure out like where does William Bergoglio fit in this, but that would be a question in the future.
So I think there's surplus or at least, um,
optionality was like some of the provisional fits where you could certainly see them fitting some guys in a move uh later on i don't know if that's what happens at the deadline for this year i don't know if now is when the big move needs to happen but i certainly think that the when you're the guys you're talking about some of them can move i mean even just this offseason with like the two catchers like they certainly listened on heger carrow to a significant degree and
The way he's underperformed has not really driven the point home, but the fact that Teal got hurt and they had to basically play Carroll a lot kind of shows where you don't need to rush into those conversations.
A lot of these extra pieces wind up being very useful to get you through the bumps and bruises of a season, but I certainly think that could be a way that they upgrade as they get closer to when they feel like they really are pushing all their chips in.
