And it's now more, you know, the backup shortstop and pinch runner sort of dude, but you had also Austin Hayes who, you know, isn't a center field option the way, you know, Doyle is, but is another bat that was, you know, due for his rehab assignment to just expire at a certain point.

With them still wanting catching, still wanting starting pitching, you kind of figure, like, all right, there's got to be some moves still in place that probably involve pulling away from this group to some degree to really make this make sense.
Like, the baseline idea of, like, plus fielding center fielder, multiple years of control, yeah, that sounds like a move that, you know, the Chris Getz front office that, you know, talks about defense so much, defensive flexibility would be into, and, you know, you could...
you know him being right-handed you could kind of pair them with or split time with tristan peters to a degree who hasn't started a bunch against left-handed pitching but certainly with the roster as a whole uh it feels like there's got to be two or three more corresponding moves for how it really fits um that maybe you'll make a ton of sense in five hours in a way that it you can't quite see the full vision just yet yeah i can't see it yet but hopefully you're right and my vision the blurriness goes away around 5 p.m today i i gotta ask you with
I mean, I think they certainly like get set outright.
Like we expect to do something catcher wise.
So that's pretty firm as far as like trade speculation or at least like saying like the future move is going to happen.
You know, certainly I think like,
especially with how they've talked about Kyle Thiel, I would expect them more in the rental market than the Adley Rutschman sweepstakes, per se.
And that leads you more to Tyler Stevenson or Luis Torrens.
But you've heard so much about the Mets saying they don't want to move Luis Torrens.
And Stevenson has become kind of this...
highly bid upon uh commodity in such a market that's you know catching his goal as chris gets has put it in the past but just like there's just not that many uh clear candidates for someone who's going to come in and be an immediate upgrade like their bats are so variable as we've seen kind of with this year with jeromo looking like kind of an offensive savior um you know at one point in the season and now looking more like all right we need something to upgrade he frames fine but we need somebody who hits a bit more than this uh to move in while all teals out so i would think rental catcher uh
