Uh, I, my flight out of Tampa got canceled and, uh, I had to reschedule at 5am this morning.
I was like, I'm going to go to bed at 11 and wake up, uh, at 3am to go out.
And in that four hour pocket of time, they managed to swing another trade.
So these people are, I, I, I can't reason with the office.
They are active, uh, beyond, uh, what, uh,

I mean, I think it makes sense in terms of, you know, the Sir Anthony Dominguez certainly been moved out of high leverage, but his stuff is still good.
He still misses bats.
And I think probably the best version of that bullpen had he stayed involves some kind of swinging back and forming, getting that mix.
Once you take that out, you take someone out with like
stuff to be a leverage option so they kind of need to replace them in some way um gabe davis was something someone certainly that they were excited about over the course of the year i think was maybe his past control problems and then struggling with double a it's uh it's certainly someone who you could they could rationalize like one we might think this is more likely reliever than uh you know a starter but two like when
what gets was talking about after the, um, the Castillo trade with Boston Smith is really like, does it, do we project this guy to be in the mix, uh,
certainly the rest of this year or in 2027 and they said that was ultimately a no on bots and smith and i think you could kind of get to the same place with gabe davis struggling double a like all right he's he's obviously not coming up this year and maybe he needs a full season starting at double a or maybe he gets a triple a by the end of next year but like not necessarily like all right this is certainly going to be a piece uh for next year's team which at this point you expect to contend with with the way this team is playing the way that terry mcdougall hagan smith you know that crop of you know ascending arms in the system are so it feels like
as much as the you know they talk about wanting to preserve the future it's a future that feels like this this year and next is really a window that they're focusing on and if you're outside of that and you're not like you know a rochelowski level tier guy or caleb bottom or tier guy like that that's maybe something they're willing to talk about a bit more uh for a present that you know has them in the playoff mix and i just does your mom like these trades claudia what does she think of the socks right now um
I feel like she's the chief medical officer of Cook County.
She seemed very focused on the removal player that she found frustrating more than she seemed focused on the addition.
And while she was celebratory, I regarded her reaction as a little rude in terms of cheering someone leaving that maybe she was at a game where they blew a save.

Great guy, liked in the clubhouse.
