For example, she said they reckon there's up toward 40, 44% of different legislative taxes and certifications from council, state, federal, all these different things.
So if you've got a million dollar house, you've probably got $400,000 tied up in taxes.
That is crazy.
That is absolutely crazy.
And one of the other things that she said that I really, really like the sound of that I haven't heard any of the other major parties discussing is removing GST on building supplies.
So if you're going to buy a house and you need your steel work, your bricks, your timber, whatever, um,
it's gst free so bang you've all of a sudden saved 10 on the materials which i think again common sense so yeah i'm excited to see you know how when there's more meat and potatoes put in the the financial nutting out of the policies because i think a lot of it's just common sense stuff it really is not difficult and then you stop the flood of the third world and everyone just gets a little bit happier don't they
A bit more social cohesion, perhaps.
Look, I feel sorry for those that genuinely have come here and have genuinely wanted to work hard and contribute and have a better way of life for their children and their children's children.
And I meet immigrants all the time.
I was telling you before about, you know, I had an Uber driver on Friday night and I had a different driver this morning taking me to the airport.
Both were coincidentally from Pakistan.
And they were really nice men.
And, you know, working hard.
They were telling me how many hours.
One of them was working 18 hours a day.
