Like it was very healing to be able to, I don't know, redefine that experience, you know, and not have it feel like,
so complicated of like this badge of honor.
Like, yes, I was on the Sopranos.
It's the thing that everyone leads with and I get it.
But I also underneath had such a, you know, I don't know, like complicated relationship with it because I just felt not good enough.
So to sort of have that change a little bit was really healing.
Yes.
Yes.
And I was able to for – until the very end because I was –
I really wasn't very symptomatic.
And if I was, I would immediately take steroids and sort of combat it.
The disease hadn't really ramped quite up yet.
But I was also every day of my life kind of in a state of denial because I wasn't telling anybody.
So I was playing this fantasy that I didn't have it unless I had to take my medication once a week.
And then when Sopranos ended, you know, it's very poetic, but the last time I was able to physically run is the very last scene I shot of the show where Meadow runs across the street.
The following few days later, I remember going to run to hail a cab and my leg would not, like the signal would not go to my leg.
And that was the very last time I was able to run.
So I try...
over the last few years to have a different relationship with my body and at the end of each day congratulate it for how well it did as opposed to feel like I'm being betrayed by it constantly.
And so I am very grateful for my body to carry me through the end of that experience and not have it, you know, had it really get in the way physically of what I needed to do as Meadow.
