best defensive team in the NHL for two seasons previous to last one and then uh a little bump in the road came in and came in and some injuries and uh they weren't as tight defensively.

So I think they're you know with Stuart Skinner's thirty one save performance last night, albeit against a much a B squad from the Colorado Avalanche, I think some people are are feeling a little bit better about the situation.

But I think uh the longer this drags out, I think you know some impatience will will kick in and hold

Hopefully, uh for Kevin Sheville, the Open Company, the Jets can get off to a good start and and allow them the time necessary to get what they feel is the value that Connor Hellebuck brings.

It was their last year of their deal, both Connor Hillibuck and Mark Schefley.

And he said replacing either one of those players, especially both of them, was very hard to do.

as a number one goaltender and number one center, those they're just not kicking around.

So obviously there was a lot of

thought going into on on you know all three parties and er you know everybody kinda came to a conclusion that it was best they you know the two of them stayed and you know management and ownership clearly showed the Jeff's commitment to winning uh if Mark Scheifley and Connor Hellebuck had any questions about that and uh those were answered and as you've seen

over the past couple of years that that has certainly come to fruition.

So it's been all in since that moment.

And it's that uh listen, it it it had people in Winnipeg in a little bit of distress, but when those two names both players signed

long extensions, uh the relief came in.
