It was a massive deal because I'd never thought from the moment that I started working on this story.
I mean, it was a gift of a story for me whenever I first picked it up, when it hit the news headlines here in Scotland in January 22.
I never for one second thought,
did I think that I would end up in the case and sort of testify and, you know, being a prosecution witness.
I mean, it was extraordinary.
And ultimately, I helped bring him down.
I played my part.
So he was found guilty for both charges of rape for this August trial and the September trial.
And the sentencing was to run consecutively for both convictions.
It was five years to life for each.
It ended up being the overall sentence was 10 years, a minimum of 10 years to life.
So Rossi was pronounced dead at a local hospital in Utah on Thursday, the 25th of June, 2026.
It was 8.32 p.m.
when he was pronounced dead.
He was 38 years old.
So the Department of Corrections in Utah said he died from complications of an existing medical condition after choosing to discontinue medical treatment.
We know that he had lung damage from having COVID very badly.
That was surely all to do with it.
