what people are enthusiastic about what they understand is the clear contrast between labor union rights and right to work states they understand the difference between reproductive freedom and no abortion under any circumstances they understand that children need the freedom to read and that they don't need their books censored so people were hungry for a positive upbeat forward-looking we're not going back message
And I think that's what's engendering a lot of the enthusiasm is just sometimes we don't give the American people credit for knowing what's in their own best interest.
The climate, reproductive freedom, education, student loan deferments, all of that is a majority proposition.
But we've got a minority who say, oh, you don't know what's best for you.
We know what's best for you.
No, the people actually do know what's best.
Our job at NCNW is to make sure they get the facts
and the tools that they need so that they have the information to make informed votes.
As America gets younger, it gets more diverse.
Vice President Harris is from California.
It won't be many years before the country looks more like California than it looks like
Alabama or Mississippi.
And so I wasn't really surprised because that's the demographic trend of the nation.
And when people think about public policy, we're all affected by it one way or another.
And so we all have a vested interest in it.
I tell you, I was surprised that President Biden stepped aside.
That surprised me.
But it didn't surprise me that there was a well of enthusiasm to see a younger, more vibrant person with a positive
