He does have some head coaching experience.

He has been under the tutelage of three pretty well-renowned coaches in Babcock,

trots and mcclellan and maybe all those things factored in and um and here he is so um yeah you know so many different names been thrown out including you know the marley's head coach the marley's are one win away from winning a calder cup uh you know and vancouver went that route with manny mohotra you know um but obviously they feel they've got their guys so i'm interested to hear the reasoning as well

Well, I mean, I certainly don't have the answer to that.

I think there's a lot to it.

I think, first of all, they felt comfortable with their blue line simply because they had so much experience.

And then Chris Tanaf went out.

I mean, it was a revolving door of injuries, right?

And they do, I think, feel they have some good parts there that underperformed.

You know, Brandon Carlo had a really tough season.

OEL was probably their best blue liner start to finish.

Morgan Rielly had a tough season again.

And there's always been speculation the last couple of years about whether, you know, his tenure with the Leafs is going to come to an end.

I don't have a quick answer to that, right?

That's certainly one of the areas of concern.

But it wasn't just the blue line.

I mean, it was everything kind of went wrong that could go wrong for the Maple Leafs last year.

And I think there's some thoughts that if things kind of get back to where they should have been or where they were predicted to have been, the team would have been much better.

So, yeah, I mean, that's obviously priority number one because they gave up so, so much.

If you look at the metrics, guys, it's actually alarming.
