But there's another component here, which is the layers of knowledge in what we call the United States government.
I think we're deeply fragmented.
And to give you an example of this, in Captain Ruppelt's book, where he's talking about after he's worked for Blue Book, he writes his report on flying saucers and what was really going on in Project Sign, Grudge, Blue Book.
And he talks about that initial wave of sightings in 47 and how the Air Force Technical Intelligence Command responded to it.
he's highlighting that you know at first they were trying to figure out was it navy and then they're trying to figure out could it be soviet and then they're trying to figure out you know could this be nazi and i find what's really interesting about that is when they were looking at the nazi stuff they specifically went hunting for the horton brothers i just think that's very strange because of all the people who might have really had the breakthrough was it the horton brothers
wasn't there a lot of other stuff going on that would have been more compelling?
Like, I don't know, like looking at the Showburger stuff or trying to figure out what were, I don't know, Voss and Shriver and Mitter and all these other people doing in different places around the world.
how many of them were jason can you quickly tell us who the horton brothers and the show burgers are just for me not familiar sure sure so um the horton brothers were um two quite famous brothers who made the horton wing which is this really aerodynamic looking aircraft it kind of looks like it's from the future in the 40s and so they were they working for the nazis uh the show burger austrian inventor who had this really sort of novel idea of
an inverted propulsion system.
I'm really not a physicist, but it sucks air inwards and creates this vortex.
And it sounds like magic, but the Nazis clearly thought there was something to this.
He'd already developed some really novel ways of moving water around and everything.
And he was, after the war was discovered, had been asked to work on various disc shaped craft with that propulsion mechanism.
And then Shriver, Mitter, Habermol, these are all the people who came out after the war saying they'd worked on disk-based technology.
So my point is the Air Force Technical Command is looking at a very specific instance, which is probably the lowest likelihood to account for all this stuff that's going on.
And it's almost as if they just don't know the scale of the Nazi operation and where it might have ended up.
So I think what you've got is
you've got the public, you've got the front-facing kind of public messaging coming out.
You've got the people doing that messaging, but they don't even have access to all the information.
Below them, you've then got things like Project Stalk, Operation Stalk, which turns out to be this deeper program, which we discover, which was like deeper than Blue Book and what was going on there.
