Last time I was here, I saw a settler outside sweeping the steps.
Yeah, maybe I'll start there.
So the area that we went to, it's in a village called Al-Mezra al-Sharkia, which if you recall, Mohammed Ibrahim, the 16-year-old Palestinian-American kid who was abducted by Israeli soldiers,
last February and held for almost a year.
It's a town where he's from.
It's a town where his first cousin, Saifullah Musallat, was from.
It's one of the wealthier, more privileged villages in the West Bank that's made up of about 80% American citizens.
The town, about last April, a little over a year ago, settlers, for the first time ever, entered the village.
Specifically, they went into their olive fields, which are on a mountain, and they just began attacking anybody who came into their own fields.
The mountain is Area A, and so what that means is, according to the Oslo Accords, which divided the West Bank into areas A, B, and C,
Area A is supposed to be entirely administered by the Palestinian Authority.
Israelis are not even allowed to go there, according to Israeli law.
