He took the skeleton racers and said like, right, go off and figure out a way we can beat them off the start.
And then came up with this new technique.
And if you watch now, um, what at the time happened was everyone was doing the skeleton with two hands.
Like you put your two hands on the slide, you run behind it and then you jump.
The Canadians, I guess, were the first ones to come up with the idea of holding with one hand, running alongside so your other hand can be pumping.
If you're running, you have your arms move, and then jumping on the sled, sliding over and jumping on the sled.
They were the first ones to develop that, and they started winning all these races, and then everyone else basically followed suit.
To me, that's a great example of...
Yes, they might have more money.
They might have more, you know, R&D and reminding, but like saying, all right, how can we figure, think outside the box, quote unquote, think out a way to do this better.
And like that turned out it worked.
And then, you know, eventually the Americans and everyone caught on and they didn't get that advantage.
But again, it's just, to me, it's coming back to this.
If we just change our mindset rather than saying, oh, we don't have as much money.
We need more funding.
We need more R&D just saying, all right, can we completely look at this?
And is there a way to do it differently?
That was interesting.
