My sense is that they have traded the track suits for business suits full-time.

I don't anticipate that you're going to see them, and you certainly aren't going to see them out in Abbotsford working with whoever they bring in to be the head coach out there.

No, I think that ship has sailed, at least for now, but they were regulars.

They were

on the ice at just about every practice when the Canucks were at home.

On the days they weren't practicing, we saw that they were out in the Fraser Valley.

They were all in on the player development side and Jason Krogh as well.

And I think people say, oh, player development, how really important is it?

What do these guys do?

These are the guys, the player development coaches are the ones that stay out long after a morning skate with the healthy scratches.

They work with the injured guys to rehab them and get them back into playing shape and all that type of stuff.

So it's not just working on six-foot passes along the boards and that type of stuff.

There's a broad range of the job description that comes with player development.

And again, for a team right now that's in the throes of this rebuild and needs all the development help it can get,

I'm going to be really interested to see how they go about trying to fill some of those holes.

I have trouble believing that they're going to bring in three different faces to replace the three that were on the ice last year in that capacity.

So let's see where it goes.

Matt, just one other quick thing, because I think we know how dark the decade has been, right?

And there hasn't been a lot of winning.

But one area that this organization, I think, deserves its props at the very least is success.
