ton of time left in his career and that he does at some stage decide he wants to go elsewhere and have a shot at winning.

And then you package him up or you pedal him off.

And I still think that he'll retain significant value just based on the position, the handedness and the fact that he logs big minutes in all those situations.

So and I'm not in a rush.

But I think that return is, and especially, you know, cost controlled a right shot defenseman that plays 25 minutes a night, you know, a couple of years down the line, a seven and a half million dollar contract.

It's going to look like peanuts really.

So I think he's, I think he's going to hold his value.

Not really.

I love Shane Wright's speed, but obviously he has not arrived at the National Hockey League with sort of the hopes that, I mean, for the longest time there, he was going to be the first overall pick that year, and then he fell to fourth.

And it's like so many others down in Seattle, like they just haven't been able to get –

You know, a high draft pick to absolutely light it up.

Matty Beneers is a solid player without a doubt, but I don't know that you'd say he's a star in the National Hockey League.

And then the same thing goes for Shane right now.

He's young and I'm certainly not giving up on him, but I just think based on the position at this stage, like a one for one swap.

of a defenseman for a forward.

And sure, the Canucks need help up front, without a doubt.

But I just don't know that I'd be prepared to go down that road and make that kind of trade.

I need to see more from Shane Wright, like the Seattle Kraken, and probably like most teams in the National Hockey League, not writing him off by any stretch.
