And for the last few iterations, they actually used the same configuration to do the tests.
So we could actually see the difference between 8.3 and 8.3.1.
And that alone was a big difference.
So simple software upgrade, because you're getting these all flash enhancements, really did deliver a huge amount of value.
But again, that too is sort of obvious to me.
I mean, there was a point where if you wanted an all flash system, you could buy one with all SSDs.
And of course, we're going to make optimizations to make that work faster.
We're a storage vendor.
We're always looking to make optimizations.
But that
It took me a while to see that the market, as you said, it's self-declared saying, no, no, we want only flash.
Don't even talk to us about anything else.
It's not that the market saw this as a wholly different product.
And we have to go along with that if we're going to be successful in the market.
And the numbers have proven what happens when you brand it right.
But the fundamental technology has been there for long before we had AFF.
Not that it isn't a whole lot better.
It is a whole lot better.
But the basics, especially from a database point of view, where it's not about a bazillion IOPS, it's just about really good latency.
You want really good latency?
