Since I don't know all the specific ways the money is being given, I would just say that one thing that we're missing a lot of in women's health is good basic science research.

So that I would like to see more money go for that because it's really hard for us to say.

So for example, we don't know why people get endometriosis.

We really don't.

We have such a poor understanding of this disease that affects 10% of women.

And we don't have any disease-modifying drugs for endometriosis.

When I started medical school, Crohn's disease was awful and terrible, and people had surgery after surgery, and they were on massive-dose steroids.

And now we have disease-modifying drugs for these people.

And you know what?

endometriosis can have all of the same awful healthcare ramifications and affects far more people.

And we still know very little about it.

And so I would say that we're really behind the eight ball.

And many of these underlying conditions like endometriosis also have long-term impacts on health.

It's not just the awful, terrible things women are going through at the time, but also many of these conditions are associated with, for example, earlier menopause and

And other sort of, you know, inflammatory changes and inflammatory markers.

And so I just hope that as we're seeing sort of this renewed interest that we're not sort of looking more at like niche things and we're thinking like, hey, we actually have like

polycystic ovarian syndrome, we still also have quite a poor understanding of that.

It affects, again, like 10% to 12% of the population.

So I just think we also need to make sure that we're putting money in what seems like unsexy to people, like actually funding the labs that are trying to figure out how these things are not just affecting women at the time, but also long-term.
