Because I didn't want my kids to have to deal with that publicly.
I probably missed out on a lot of that growth and it took me longer because of that to get where I needed to get.
The outpatient program felt like it was full time though.
And sitting in a room by yourself and people come in every different kind of therapist.
I'd already had diagnoses of depression from a very young age that I was always using medication to balance and then going off of it because I didn't think I needed it, being embarrassed because I had to take it, and then not taking it when I was pregnant and just dealing with all the ups and downs of that.
And so I was already there.
They didn't really give me any kind of diagnosis.
They were just really...
helping me hear the words that I needed to be hearing constantly and hearing the messages of value and worth and listening to your instinct and just trying to get me back in my own body.
It's right down the street.
Yeah, you can walk there.
It is literally a sign.
You know, they do for kids too.
