Hiring jumped last month.
There were 178,000 new jobs created in March, tripled the number expected, and the unemployment rate declined to 4.3%.
In March, jobs were added in health care, construction, transportation, and warehousing.
Federal government jobs continue to shrink.
There still appears to be little change in the number of layoffs.
New claims for unemployment benefits rose by just 5,000 in the week ending March 21st to 210,000.
The number matched the forecast from economists.
