And if you work in healthcare, push for FGM training in your institution.

Know that the National FGM Center and similar organizations, they can advise you on how to respond safely.
And if you're in a position to support asylum seekers, know that FGM asylum cases are real and a viable pathway, and that legal aid organizations working on them are chronically underfunded.
And finally, most basically and perhaps most powerfully, have this conversation.
Don't treat FGM as too disturbing to mention, you know every conversation matters.
