And so that assume good faith, it's even more important.

So it's important in those first interactions, somebody first comes to the site, but also when there's a heated argument.

To try to remember this is a person on the other side and they're different from you and they're like you because they're people and people are all like that.

You know, like don't interpret every single thing they say as some kind of hostility.

It's really easy to do online, as we see in social media all the time, to jump to the wrong conclusion, read something into what they said.

I actually didn't say that.

No.

And, you know, it's very helpful.

You know, that civility in the book, we say your mother was right.

We teach it to toddlers to like be nice to other people.

And it's actually good.

Like it actually works.

It's actually a very profitable mechanism.

I don't mean making money, but it's a positive thing.

It's like if you treat people as if they are all up to no good.

Well, first of all, you're going to have a miserable life.

But also people like they'll maybe live up to that.
