And I appear on screen and he recognises my voice, he recognises my facial features and he turns to his wife and he says, is that my son?
And she says yes.
And from that day onwards, we never spoke again, ever.

And he died?
He died a couple of years ago.
Did you go to his funeral?
I did, yeah.
Was that difficult for you?
I felt that it was such a shame that we never connected and we never found that place where he could accept me.
i was also always aware that it was his responsibility to if he was if there was going to be any contact it would have been his responsibility as a parent um my sister always says you know don't don't worry about reaching out don't worry about writing a letter don't don't it's just just just leave it you let it go absolutely and i've always believed that it was um really his his problems but you stayed close to your mother
