It probably isn't encouraged nowadays, I don't know.

No, I think it's probably quite cruel.

But you love the idea.

Yeah, and I used to open the gates of this cage and let them sort of fly around the room and then kind of cup them and put them back into their cages.

And they'd live for, you know, two weeks or however long the life of a butterfly is.

Moths, lots of moths.

Moon moths, atlas moths.

There's a nice vision, isn't it?

Sort of releasing them and having them fly around.

And could you get them back though into the cage?

Yeah, I'd cut them in my hands and sort of gently place them back in and place them on their flower.

And did you name them?

I don't think so.

I don't think they lasted long enough to name.

I also had gerbils and Russian dwarf hamsters and they bred like crazy.

And I remember waking up one morning and there were about a hundred hamsters in this sort of cage system that I had.

And

I was an early entrepreneur and I had this wild dream of selling them to pet shops and no pet shops were taking them.

So I think I just donated them to one pet shop.
