The first is the push to make America first in AI, the golden age that we're promised.
Well, simultaneously, you have people like David Sachs supporting chip exports to China.
So if it's America first in AI,
Why would you supply your most important rival, China, with the hardware and capability of keeping up with you?
Some would say that David Sachs would say, oh, well, that's because it will keep China dependent on our technology.
Well, they don't really have any other options.
They only have U.S.
hardware for the next few years.
So if we're really intent on staying ahead of them, we don't want we have no reason really at all to give them any leg up.
I think that if anything, if you were to take a cynical point of view, what that does is it keeps our rival moving ahead, and so it provides a justification to keep the U.S.
moving ahead to create powerful AI systems and to deploy them across every sector, from the military down to the government, to corporations, to schools, even churches, and then on the social level to have people basically addicted
to everything from goon bots to groom bots provided by XAI and Meta and others.
And there's no real safety standard or guardrails put in place at all.
You know, they talk all the time.
We need one federal standard.
They don't have a clearly articulated list.
of federal standards that they're offering in place of this.
You have Josh Hawley pushing forward child protection legislation at the national level.
You have Josh Hawley pushing forward AI risk assessment legislation at the national level.
But none of that is assured of going through anytime soon.
