They put a caveat on that if you're in probation, they might not be comfortable with it.

I think the probation thing is on a very much case-by-case basis, and I've had it where clients have changed industry, and I've got it approved as an exception from credit.
Now, that doesn't happen all the time, but that particular scenario, it made sense to the bank.
We built a really strong argument.
And the concept of a job for life, which, you know, doesn't exist anymore.
So the dynamics of the workforce dictates that the banks have to adapt to that.
And I think that's, this is evidence.

If we draw out equity from an existing investment property, but it's just sitting in an offset, not used yet, will that affect future borrowing capacity?
So yes and no.
Yes, because the banks will go off the limit always.
But if it came to that point, you could always reduce it down accordingly.
So that would be a discussion with your broker saying, I want to borrow this much.
