You know, I thought you saw that on tape at Ohio State, and I think you certainly saw that today during the one-on-ones.

I think Skyler Bell has first-round route running and release package and late-day three-ball skills.

I think it's that simple, where even though he does have good speed, right, he's a low 4'4 guy, that speed don't matter if you can't track the ball.

And I watched him at UConn, and I remember when Brandon Bean talked about Skyler Bell, he said that he really wasn't much of a vertical threat, and I'm like, really?

Like he runs 4-4.

He can't be a field stretcher.

And so I had that in mind when I went back and watched his tape at UConn.

And it's just legitimately true where the ball tracking and playing the ball and getting in the right positions, it's just not a strength of his.

And so I think he's a little bit more of a short to intermediate threat that doesn't have true field stretching ability, not because he's not fast, but because he doesn't give you the type of –

ball skills to make you truly respect him as a vertical threat and so I hope that that can improve but right now that's the biggest concern and I think that hurts his role on the team right like if you can't be the field stretcher the team has DJ Moore and Kahlil Shakir to do that other stuff so he's got to grow in that capacity and he doesn't offer any return ability and now I think you know why

Because he can't find and catch the ball.

If you're not able to track it over your shoulder for a vertical shot, okay, now you're going to be fielding punts.

I think there's a reason he never returned punts or returned kicks in college.

So he's got a lot of skill.

It's just that vertical big play down the field piece is just kind of missing from his game.

Same stuff, different year, man.

Everyone was concerned about Trubisky, Kyle Allen before, Case Keenum.

Can he play?

I think this is just the reality of where the Bills are at with their backup quarterbacks.
