Donald Trump is openly talking about that, admitting that and championing that idea, whereas the Chinese are much more subtle about it.
You won't hear something like that coming from President Xi because they don't want to admit that they're in a race because they are behind.
In terms of the frontier models, China is behind.
But also, we were talking earlier about the here and now dangers of AI.
They're more focused on that in terms of how to regulate and how to maintain safety.
They're not that interested in the existential risks.
That is very much a kind of US industry perspective.
So I think that, yeah, like Zoe says, it's how we expected the lines to fall.
It will be interesting to see whether or not any form of coordination is agreed upon.
There's been discussion about whether or not there should be some sort of hotline between the two presidents or between the two countries to say, by the way, this has happened, because sometimes, as we now know, AI can go rogue and it can do unexpected things.
It's a little bit like the kind of Cuban Missile Crisis and that kind of era of history where you've got
really tense things happening, but you've got politicians who are potentially trying to come together and make, stop really, really bad things happening.
Would that make you less likely to wear them if they didn't have that camera?
