Are we informing you upfront if we are not satisfied with the performance so that the values of the fund also we can see if it's coming through via the service providers?
And I think also what we try to do is do a one-on-one with our independent service provider that did the assessment
Because sometimes as trustees, we don't also want to answer the tick-box questions.
I think when we probe a bit, that's where the self-mastery, you know, am I able to articulate what I'm not satisfied with as a trustee?
What is it I need support in?
Because a performance appraisal process as well is not about a stick, you know.
It's about how do I do this, what I'm doing better next time?
Because we acknowledge that it's through...
through challenges, through experiences that we then change.
So I don't know whether I actually answered you, because I said a lot, but I think if you just unpack that, it's about, as a trustee, assessing yourself personally, self-mastery, understanding where you can improve, and then tangibly engaging with your service providers.
We haven't gone to the extent of members as yet, because I think that's a difficult part,
but at least understanding from our service providers, you know, what's the feedback?
How do we improve as trustees, not just as a fund, but as trustees, as the management of the fund?
Shouldn't we be?
Irrespective, because at the end of the day, if you're making a decision, whether you're a sponsor appointed or whoever appointed,
It is, is this decision going to prejudice my members or is it, you know, is it a decision for the benefit of my, and that's independent of thinking, irrespective, isn't it?
You know, that was a very key thing also that came out from my dissertation research.
And I was so privileged to be able to interview people from the FSCA, independent trustees, sponsor trustees.
And the thing is, you're right, you know, especially those that have it as an add-on, not like someone like myself, a professional trustee, going there, dedicating the time fully to the fund, you know.
But what came out is we need a balance on a board.
