uh but these are uh was it um you you've got mail maybe i don't remember you i think it's you've got mail yeah you've got mail yeah but but i mean these are these are classic american movies and i would like to see more part part of my gripe about where we currently are with culture is everyone feels a need to double down to show how dystopian they can be and it can make for some great movies like one battle after another but i i for one would like more more happy endings in art because we're not getting them right now in life

Over that period of time, I think when you look at the number of movies and how they're not, they weren't only like cultural touchstones of their time, but they're movies that people love and they go to when they're looking for hope as well as a laugh to this day.
I mean, that kind of endurance, what struck me out of that is that Mel Brooks, his dad's writing partner, is still alive.
I mean, Dick Van Dyke just celebrated his 100th birthday.
The fact that his relationship with his father,
was so formative and and healthy and and to have his own son allegedly do this makes that all the more heartbreaking especially in the holidays amen that's true and i can you imagine i mean his dad created the dick van dyke show i mean i'm sure his dad was really proud of him as well
Oh, definitely.
I mean, they did a lot together, too, which is so cool to see, you know, when the son is successful in his own right.
It's not a Nepo baby situation.
This guy in some ways exceeded, but his dad was even in Ocean's Eleven.
