Ozzie Albee's having a really solid season for the Braves, but that does leave three second basemen in the National League that did not make it.

So J.J.

Weatherholt, Bryce Terang, Xavier Edwards are actually, I think, like four of the three of the top six or seven players by war in the National League who did not make the All-Star team.

And unlike pitchers where it's like, oh, well, this guy is starting Sunday or this guy might want some more rest or whatever it is, it's harder for position players to have a great reason or necessity to pull out.

So those guys might just end up not making it.

We're getting really close to the All-Star Game, of course, and there hasn't been any

injuries in the national league that are like pending a replacement.

So, um, yeah, those are three guys that, um, unfortunately probably will not be at Philadelphia at this point, barring something last minute.

And those are all three guys that have really bright futures and I'm sure we'll make it at some point.

So that definitely takes the sting out a little bit, but they're definitely all playing like all-stars.

Yeah, I feel like pitching have done a pretty good job of between replacements and just the initial rosters squeezing everyone on that is like super deserving.

I read last night from Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times that Nick Martinez is expected to be named a replacement.

He's having a really nice year.

He's been around for a long time, has never made an all-star team, and I always like when guys in their mid-30s make the team.

Davis Martin for the White Sox having a nice season that was faded a little bit recently.

So, you know, there's no one besides maybe Wheeler on a rate

basis where i'm like oh man it stinks that he's not there and obviously it being in in philadelphia and him not being there if there was another um sort of added uh problem on top of that but you know there's always going to be snubs i think that overall the league between both pitchers and hitters has done a pretty good job of getting guys on i think that the fans as usual did a

You know, when the fans don't do perfectly, that does lead to a cascading effect like it does in second base for the National League.
