Yeah, I mean that was a very fun series to watch and probably not fun if you're a fan of one of those two teams because it looked like each team was going to win each game and then it obviously someone has to win each game, so they didn't.
Um but yeah, I think it's um the the Phillies look legitimate despite having to deal with Jose Alvarado's eighty game suspension.
They'll be back, but that has to miss the postseason, assuming the Phillies got there.
Then the A's have just
Finally started to click and then went on and lost eleven games in a row.
So that is obviously a um thing that I'm not sure they'll be able to climb themselves out of for the rest of the season, which is um very unfortunate um considering that they actually spent some money this offseason and looks to take that next step.
But I think there's something to be said for
You play in a minor league park, the clubhouse is out in center field, there's not cages to go down and hit in and
they might be at something of a home field disadvantage because when guys come and visit, they're only there for three days and they can sort of deal with it.
When you're on a 10 day homestand and you just have to deal with your sort of minor league routine in major league baseball for over a week, that can be pretty tough to deal with.
Yeah, you know, the Rays was obviously an unfortunate, unpredictable situation that it sounds like they're making the best of and, you know, good on the Yankees for not, you know, asking the Rays for compensation to use one of the most well equipped spring training parks and the Rays have now won five in a row and seem to be meshing and dealing with it okay.
But yeah, Sutter Hellfield in West Sacramento, um
You know, it looks okay on T V, it's okay to watch a game, but in terms of the logistics of
playing a major league baseball season there and, you know, having media availability in a shed off of the field instead of a uh
traditional situation that the other twenty nine teams have.
Um
makes it tough to work there no matter whether you're covering the team, broadcasting for the team, or um playing on one of the two teams that are playing that day.
