No, well, you know, we just had a reunion of that team last week before the Irish test and only on Monday night we had dinner with the All Blacks before they tour.
And honestly, the stories, it felt like yesterday.
So to the players and the members of the management team, it's so vivid in the memory.
So, you know, I know it's 30 years ago, but it certainly doesn't seem like that.
I've got no doubt that's right.
We knew it was a huge hurdle.
And because New Zealand had never won a series in South Africa and everything had gone against the All Blacks every time they'd played there, we knew it was a massive task.
But I think when you go, this was the first year of professional rugby.
And when you look back on 30 years of professional rugby,
you understand the magnitude of what we did.
Because we played eight games in four weeks on that tour.
We played every midweek and test every week.
And that followed six tests in Australia and New Zealand over seven weeks.
So we ended up in an 11 or 12 week period playing 10 tests and four midweek games.
Today, you wouldn't do that.
