Rodstrom for advocating on behalf of the residents down in District Four that were opposed to the pickleball courts.
Um I I I don't think that detracts from him.
In fact, I thought his arguments were actually very well placed.
In fact, he brought forward the fact that there was a deed restriction on the park that nobody was aware of.
Uh I I think we ought to be commended for that.
In fact, I took uh strong exception to our city attorney's
previous city attorney's opinion that we could ignore the deed restriction simply because there was no successor in interest that could enforce it against us.
I thought that was morally uh bankrupt, uh quite frankly.
Um and and to the comments about his postings on social media, uh you're absolutely right, uh uh Commissioner Glassman.
He has made comments on social media prior to his becoming a uh an individual who was being
uh asked to be appointed to a position.
And our code of conduct does not apply to individuals in the community.
They apply to people who are appointed to the boards.
So I don't think we can go back and look at anybody's social media history going back to, you know, when they were in college and see what they've posted and who they've said things about.
I don't think that's appropriate.
Again, I'll raise the same issue that I raised during our last time when uh
It was uh deemed inappropriate for my choice for this position, and that is that First Amendment allows folks to make comments about politicians.
That's what the First Amendment is for.
