And and as I said, I've raised this with the folks from AECOM, so if you f wanna come up and address this as well and just sort of expand on that conversation, I'd like to, you know, sort of have everybody else hear what you've told me in our in our conversations.
And that's part of the overall guarantees that we're going to be receiving.
So one last comment.
Um in my conversations with AECOM, one of the questions that uh that I posed to them was with respect to a longer warranty period.
Um the fifty seven months for monitoring, I understand the rationale behind that, that there's a standard curve for how long you think the deflection is going to continue.
Um but
When it comes to warrantying the quality of the ro the work after the additional engineering has been done and construction has been done, uh we've got a thirty year bond on this building and I've shared with AECOM and and they understand my perspective on this, that any guarantees that we get
should be more commensurate with the length of time our taxpayers are paying for this building.
That fifty-seven months is simply inadequate uh when we're asking the taxpayers to pay for this building.
Um I expect our partners who designed it and constructed it, uh our whole team, to stand behind the quality of the work.
So they understand my perspective on this and I know they said they were open to coming back
and uh and and offering up uh uh a a lengthier uh guarantee.
As I said, as far as I'm concerned, the risk of the quality of the work should fall on the people who have performed the work, not on the city, not on the taxpayers.
So I just want to be very clear and get that out.
And again, they they they understand my perspective and and they said they were willing to come back with uh lengthier um response to that.
