finding the range to something at a reasonable range is almost just point and shoot.

Okay, now I know that.

You dial your scope appropriately, and now that is led away from cartridges that are super fast to those that have a real high VC bullet that will perform much better in the wind because that's something we haven't figured out yet.

Man, is that a 7-mile-an-hour or a 10-mile-an-hour crosswind?

And is it a...

Third value or is that a half value crosswind?

And something like that, a real high BC bullet like the 6.5 Creedmoor shoots, well, that can minimize your shooter error in that respect if you hold correctly but, you know, make the wrong estimation on what the wind's doing.

Oh, it definitely is.

People that shoot a lot get better at it, but that's always the hardest thing for them to do.

And I've had experienced shooters tell me, too, that that's what separates the men from the boys.

And even with them, oftentimes they'll say that your best wind call is your first shot.

You shoot it, you see where that bullet goes, and then you adjust off of that.

And that works fine at the range, but it gets dicey doing that on an animal, and you can really get yourself into trouble doing that.

Oh, they absolutely do, and there are certain circumstances where they're better than others.

And this is an area where I don't have a lot of experience yet, but I'm working my way into it, and specifically I'm talking about double rifles.

And for those that are listening to this that are real familiar with African hunting and whatnot, they know what I'm talking about, but other people may not.

But it looks like – I mean, it's very common.

I wouldn't say it's ever actually common, but it was a very romantic thing to have a guy –
