It's still orderly if I look at, you know, s lots of the measures in the market in terms of bid R spreads, if I look at terms of implied volatility, it's still orderly.
But if gold becomes disorderly, then that would be a um that would be a sign that we perhaps would would do a correction.
In terms of what drives gold higher, well I think all of the tailwinds I've spoken about so far, but I would say
The the big thing that that I think would really catalyse gold at these levels, uh, would be some would be some overt action against the Fed.
You know, we wake up and and Trump has fired Jay Powell over uh Truth Social overnight, that sort of thing.
Though that that would be the one I wouldn't say red flag, it'd be the huge red flag that that that I'd say, Oh oh Lord, things really have got bad faster than we were expecting, and I think gold would then jump.
It's not the currency.
It's the economy.
If you run
The economy hot with hotter than it should be, with low interest rates in a in an environment where there is background uh inflationary pressures, you probably get a really good performance of the economy for a I don't know, twelve months, twenty-four months.
stagflationary environment and all you know, basically all all hell's breaking loose.
And that reminds you very much of the nineteen seventies.
And that wasn't a very pleasant uh period to live through.
So that's that's the point.
The currency moves would be
as I say, would be a second order or third order effect.
It would be the fact that you would be um you would be in under stagflationary conditions very quickly and and and that's traditionally a really good environment for gold.
Yeah, I mean i in theory
If you look at the original intentions of of crypto, well Bitcoin particularly, the the OG, um, that was the th that was the thinking behind Bitcoin.
