So the physical investment market almost mirrors what we've seen across the rest of the gold market.
It's been strong in many emerging markets and weaker in Western markets.
And we're seeing that also hit over the last few years in the holdings of exchange traded funds where ETFs uh
which are generally a Western phenomena, um, have seen small redemptions for each of the last three years.
And to me that's a great indicator of of of disinterest or profit taking from the Western investors for reasons I've I've discussed before.
It it makes it really easy to buy, assuming you have a stock and share account.
Um, which in the West is pretty common and in emerging markets less so.
That's where physical gold buying um probably uh ha has more of the advantage in in these markets.
Also the accessibility to buy gold in in emerging markets is usually much more widespread as well.
But no, you're absolutely right.
Uh physically backed gold ETFs make it really accessible to Western investors, whether they
That's retail or institutional.
And one of the things that we'd say is I'm keeping a very close eye on what happens to ETF flows to see whether there's a sign of uh improvement in Western sentiment towards gold.
And we're beginning to see it.
After three years of of let's say modest selling from the ETFs, we've now seen five months in a row of consecutive increases in gold held by ETFs.
Um the
volumes so far relatively small.
Mm.
Um but
I'll take positive after three years of negative, if you see what I mean.
