Where it's like some people super confident, they're good at managing stress, they can go a little bit heavier on peaking blocks, right?
But then if you have someone that's generally a little bit more nervous, someone who it takes a lot out of
them to just hit a heavy lift in training, I might have them get a little bit more submaximal as they're going into their competitions to play into that.
So there's a lot of things that you can unravel just from the sports psychology alone.
I thought it was beautiful.
So this is one of those things every time you compete at worlds, there will be a certain set of adversities that you have to conquer and make it through and this was another test, right?
Um again just the biggest test of the day was bench.
How are we going to adjust our technique on the day to just get favorable calls with elbow death?
Um and you could see obviously throughout the meet that was a huge problem for a lot of lifters.
Um and
And again, that's something that I'm very proud of, which was we were able to target what we needed to do.
He made the adjustment and he ended up getting his third attempt.
So overall, um I was less concerned with the total that he put up and more concerned with him being able to overcome any obstacles and challenges that he was faced with on the day.
And again, you know, progress can happen many different ways at this level.
It is not always a total on the bar.
He put up the same exact total as he did at US Nats.
Um but I think in that process he grew so much and that's gonna be one step closer to, you know, what gets him over the one thousand kilo mark.
Same as before, just don't decelerate.
Right?
