But it really could be anything because I also think-
the systems and metrics and tools you need.
Someone's like, well, I want to build the next iPhone.
Okay.
Well, to build the next iPhone, you're going to need to measure X, Y, and Z component of the phone.
And no one wants to invent that.
No one wants to pay to invent that because the ROI isn't on that invention.
It's on the iPhone.
And that's where you're just keeping this bench warm.
I don't know.
Does that analogy make any sense?
Well, and before we get into that handoff, because I do want to spend some time there,
You mentioned the people, and I think this is critically important for another topic that we won't dwell too much on here, but that is competition with China.
And I think some policymakers are pretending there's a magic lever out there that slows China's rise or levels the playing field.
But I think what you hit on is a really good example that we need the people.
We need really brilliant, well-trained people.
You can't wake up one morning and say, I'm going to synthesize a protein.
And so I think it's important to remember that the universities are the ones who get the PhDs to be ready to contribute, whether that's in the public sector or private sector.
And that's a place where we're lagging behind, not just China, but a lot of places in the world.
That's well, to the production team, we found our click because that's so perfectly well said.
