Are they trained to do business development, trained to manage, trained to be a future owner?
And I'm kind of making a blanket statement.
A lot of them have thought about that and are thinking about that.
But I think those two major things, certainly if you're going to try to get out in two years, that's a harder thing to do.
But if you're kind of at a 10-year run or
maybe seven years is to really think about like, all right, how am I grooming the next generation of owners and finding the next generation of owners?
Teaching them everything that I need to do.
Right.
And you've had other podcasts I've listened to that talk about that.
Like they talk about like kind of those key people that you have to keep in the business and teach them the business and then getting their own personal house in order.
And I do meet a lot of builders.
I've done some planning, but not in the relation of business.

And how you kind of set yourself up so that you can easily exit.
And there are lots of stories of...
contractors to make that transition to key employees and rely a hundred percent on the future cash flows of that business to buy them out.
That's kind of like, I would say a recipe for disaster, but can be a struggle, you know, and if the next generation isn't bringing up business and they're paying the old owner off and it's too high of a valuation, it just doesn't set that future generation up to be successful.
So it's,
you know, that's where that kind of building assets outside.
