But over the next few days, as I was doing these performances, basically, my body started to shut down, basically.
I'd sleep for 18 hours or whatever.
I'd take all available pain relief.
Straight afterwards, I'd collapse.
And I'd sleep for another 18, 19, 20 hours, you know.
About five days into the illness, I remember phoning up my mum and saying, this is really bad now.
This is the worst pain I've ever been in.
She said, how bad is it actually?
