It is a part of our our physical brain.
And it is also a part of an action that we take with our bodies.
To remember a smell is to smell it again, right?
Like you smell the smell, and all of a sudden that memory comes.

Like baking cookies and you're back in the kitchen, or I don't know, the smell of vomit, too much tequila.

Like whatever the thing is, like smell is going to bring it back.
Touch is going to bring it back.
And these things, these these physical things are a part of our memories.
And I think that
when we disconnect the idea of a body from the the act of remembrance and kind of treat it like it's just like, oh, it's just like a thing.
Like we're we're losing sight of one of the messy ways that we actually make meaning, which is with our bodies and with our our physical experience of the world.
