Or and other people at school might talk to you, talk about you, but you could also like flirt with someone and and it could lead somewhere.

So I do.

Well, in the school setting, something that I've found to be incredibly effective at deepening friendships and comfort is like nervous system co regulation exercises through like deep breathing and then some physical contacts.

Um, one of the exercises that we do in the program is we have the boys line up and try to make eye contact with one another.

And the first time that they do this, there's so much giggling and there's so much fidgeting and there's like some, you know, people will talk and whatever because it's really uncomfortable.

to maintain eye contact, especially as a man, because there's a couple of different implications for eye contact.

It's either you want to fight me or like I don't want to be seen, right?

This is weird.

This is weird, this is gay.

This is gay.

I don't know.

So we have them do that and I'll time them for like two minutes.

And two minutes of eye contact is a lot.

That's a long time, right?

And then I'll be like, all right, guys, everyone turn around and put your back against your partner and you're gonna touch your shoulders.

And whatever the height differential is, just like try to make contact with their back because you can through the back still feel lungs expand.

And so we're gonna sync up our breathing and we're gonna drip breathe deeply into the nose and without talking, we're going to just make sure we're breathing together.

Um, and then we do that for two minutes.
