A lot of them relied on like Jungian archetypes or the hero's journey or the mythopoetic men's movement.
And they just didn't resonate with what I
I thought of as the type of man I wanted to be.
So I started my own organization to bring men together from around my life and now beyond to have these critical conversations and to form a brotherhood and that's that's what I have.
Some of the primary models I would say are Ashanti branch of the Ever Forward Club and the work that he does with boys in Oakland, California.
The Man Enough podcast and everyone there, Liz Plank, Justin Beldoni, Jamie Heath.
Um, that was a really huge turning point for me, that that piece of media.
And I also really admire um a lot of the folks in the Mankind project.
So one of the directors, Boys in Hodgeson and Gareth Higgins, and there's a couple other folks involved with MKP that I really look up to.

I would say if you're looking for role models or heroes in media right now, pick one or two and write down the things that you like about them.
Like why is it that you like that person?
And then
have that as a kind of a values inventory of like what you're looking for in a mentor, whether you're in school or if it's in your workplace or if there's an a another third space that you can access like through a sports team or something.
Maybe approach any of the older men that are around and don't show them the values inventory and be like, hey, like you like, hi, I have a values cover.
Yeah, I believe you like to look at it.

Like I think that you are probably a good father and have integrity in XYZ, but you could just s say like, hey, like I would I'd really love to
grab a coffee or like I'm I'm looking for, you know, additional connections and so would you be open to like hanging out sometime?
