I do realise that the part I played, we didn't do enough to keep them up.
But Everton, yeah, we had some difficult times, managed to stay in the Premier League, had some good times under Joe Royal, Willie Donaghy and we moved forward after battling relegation.
But
We talk about it all the time when we're covering games, teams in the bottom three and in the bottom six.
The pressure is absolutely enormous.
We talk about pressure at the top end trying to qualify for Europe or win the title.
But I can guarantee you as a professional, there is nothing worse than every game you're going into thinking, if we lose this one, we're in even bigger trouble.
It is horrendous.
And it does affect the way you play.
You play more conservatively because you're worried about making mistakes.
So it does really affect how you play depending on where you are in the league.
Does the lack of fans at the Etihad, does that in some ways level the playing field or do you still feel City, regardless of whether there's fans there or not, if they play well, they win?
And Jolyon, in July, we got the big decision in terms of City's European future.
If they are banned from European competition, what do you think is going to happen to the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Pep Guardiola?
Will they change their attitude in terms of maybe staying in the club?
Would they think of possibly leaving if they're not going to play in the Champions League?
