And I really took that to heart, and I just dove in.

I was so blown away by Ava.

I'm such a big fan of hers.

You know, Anjanue Ellis, I just think Anjanue is just a force of nature.

She is the greatest we have right now.

And also I felt like to be in a movie where your role is really to be in service, like you're to be in, you know, that's really the kind of husband role.

Brett was.

It was aspirational.

He was this unbelievable woman with this unbelievable mind who could think in a way that no one else could.

And he really understood that his role was to serve her.

And so I don't know.

It was something, especially because so much of the time I'm sort of asked to –

represent these certain kind of, like, brands of masculinity, I think that character is every bit as masculine as the Punisher or, you know, the guy played in Shot Caller.

I mean...

He's strong.

It's sturdy.

It's thoughtful.

It's caring.
