Mateus Nunes is obviously not a bad player, but he was brought in to do a certain job and it was decided he couldn't do it.

And then he was able to reinvent him in a different way.

And we've seen Guardiola do that with a lot of players through the years.

I mean, even someone like Nico O'Reilly, I think, again, taking him from being a central midfielder and then moving into that wide...

the fullback area and having him be successful from there in a very different way to the way that he was inverting fullbacks on Bayern with David Alaba and Philipp Lahm.

And, you know, the Nico O'Reilly, who's literally just one PFA Young Player of the Year, was a player who was getting forward and was getting into the box and was almost playing as a second striker at times with Erling Haaland.

So I definitely think he would have... I think he has the patience to try and solve...

I think he gets motivated by that.

I was almost surprised that he's not still the coach of Man City this time around, because it almost felt as though he'd come from the complete nadir of 24-25 season to now.

And it felt as though the corner had been turned and he would almost have felt, oh, let's see how far we can take it.

And I guess anyone who has the staying power to be at Man City for 10 seasons has got a degree of patience, although it was largely going quite well.

Yeah, I mean, I think the reason why that would happen is because in many respects, Guardiola made the Premier League what it is today, right?

He made it the destination for a lot of players.
