If we don't annex this property, it's not going to have transit.

Capital Metro can only serve

its member jurisdictions.

It does not serve unincorporated areas of the county.

So unless we annex the Dog's Head Tract, there is no transit going to, it will not serve the area.

And to that point, and I think Upam mentioned this right now, but I just want to make sure that we're reserving

I know that the major roads going in is one of the first investments that we're going to make.

And while I don't expect buses or light rail down the road to be running anytime soon, because I think the population is not going to get there for a while, we are reserving

Transit ways like for either light rail or for a bus rapid transit.

I just want to make sure that we're doing that At the beginning so we don't have problems like we have had in other instances where we're having to you know Buy easement and move utilities and do all the expensive stuff that we're doing right now on project connect And we are I just want to make sure that we are reserving

And again, I know it's early.

I don't expect, you know, full blown out maps of everything that we're going to do.

But conceptually, we need to make sure and reserve those transit ways on the major roads and bridges that we're building in this area.

I mean, especially given kind of what's happening at the airport, airport expansion, the traffic already on 71, especially at peak times during when we've got a lot of folks flying through the airport.

I just think it's absolutely critical that we build in these reserved transit guideways at the very beginning of the project.
