I have the great honor and privilege of knowing Dr. Wright.
She's one of my geographic heroes.
Think about as you do so, as you read those articles and blog posts and other things that Dr. Wright has written, what led Dr. Wright on this career path that she chose?

What was the first thing they saw at the bottom of the ocean?
To prompt Dr. Wright to say, quote, this is further evidence that we as humanity must do better by the ocean and the habitats that we ourselves share and ultimately depend on.
There is no planet B, end quote.
What did they find recently when they went to the bottom of the Mariana Trench?
It wasn't a rare sea creature that had never been seen before.
No, alas, it was a beer bottle.
It was intact as well, but it shows that humanity does have impact even in the deepest part of the ocean.
