And so what I find interesting in this whole conversation that I had with the chief revenue officer of our customer is she was talking about, you know,
You spend all this time and energy and money trying to go attract the new member.
You're not attracting a ton.
You're not growing 200%, 300% year over year.
Industry average is a couple of percent.
And the challenge is you do all this work.
You bring this person in and they're not really a profitable member for you.
And so now you spent a couple hundred bucks going industry average to acquire a customer or a member, spend a couple hundred bucks to acquire them, and then it costs you money to support them.
And to your point, without kind of a clear path to making them a profitable account holder, that's actually a losing proposition for you.
So here's where I say I think it gets really interesting is the additional layer to that is the new challengers to the market.
This goes all the way back to what you're talking about with the assembly line.
They came into it with fresh eyes and with a focus on optimization.
They came into it saying, I'm going to be a customer acquisition company.
I'm not a fintech.
I'm not a bank.
I'm a customer acquisition company.
I'm going to be really freaking good at that.
I'm going to dump a significant amount of investment into sales and marketing.
But guess who they're trying to acquire?
It's not the person that's going to cost them money.
